Guests are invited to enjoy a bite to eat or take a relaxing coffee break from the hustle and bustle of the city as talented local artists and makers showcase their skills, crafting their latest pieces.

The menu features an impressive selection of breakfast treats and speciality brunches such as ‘Eggs Benny on Sourdough’ (£9.50), prepared with honey and mustard shredded ham hock, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and poached pears; and ‘Avocado and Lime Toast’ (£8.50), a combination of avocado and lime smash, feta, caramelised onion with red wine marmalade on toasted sourdough.

Classic lunches include ‘Coronation Chicken’, ‘Ploughman’s’ and ‘Egg and Cress’ sandwiches, freshly prepared on ciabatta or baguette (£5.50 to eat in with a side salad / £4.40 to take out).

Those who are feeling a little more indulgent can opt for ‘Halloumi Fries with a Chilli Dip’ (£6.95); or a choice of ‘Loaded Fries’ including ‘Bacon, Smoked Paprika and Cheddar’ (£7.50); ‘Jackfruit and BBQ Sauce’ (£7.50); ‘Salt and Pepper Chicken’ (£7.50); or ‘Salt and Pepper Mixed Veg’ (£6.00) with cheddar or vegan feta as optional extras.

The menu at Scribble offers something to suit all tastes with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available, as well as a good variety of dishes suitable for those who follow a dairy or gluten free diet.

Drinks include locally roasted speciality coffees, fruit teas, white hot chocolate and Belgian hot chocolate; and for those who prefer something a little stronger, Scribble also offers a selection of spirits, wines and Prosecco, alongside a wide range of locally brewed real ales.

As a dog friendly venue, customers are welcome to bring their four-legged friends along too and there are even free home-baked treats available for pooches accompanying their owners for lunch.

Speaking on the launch of Scribble at MerseyMade, Founder Vicky Gawith, said: “It’s fair to say Scribble is a pretty unique destination; where else can you enjoy great food and drink surrounded by artists at work and two floors of magnificent creations from the region’s most talented makers?

“As a venue built on championing local independent creatives, there’s always been a real vibrancy at MerseyMade and we’re looking forward to inviting people to enjoy the buzzing atmosphere as they join us for a bite to eat or pop in for a coffee at Scribble. Everyone is welcome!”

The kitchen at Scribble is overseen by Sean Millar, who is known for restaurants such as The Other Place, The Side Door and Pruno. He said: “The Scribble menu has been crafted to reflect the warm and welcoming vibe at MerseyMade and we’re incredibly proud to be working with some of the region’s best food and drink producers. We’re also thrilled to be the only city centre venue serving savouries, cakes and patisseries from the wonderful team at Artisane. I’m confident Scribble will be a welcome addition to the city’s thriving food and drink scene.”
