So how does City Bike work? It’s as simple as choosing your tariff, filling in your contact information and pay online by a credit/debit card. You will receive immediately login & PIN via email and SMS, log in on a station using your details and follow the instructions on the display to rent your bike! To return a bike you just need to return to one of the many stations across the city and insert the bike to any free lock.
City Bike have more than 130 stations to make your way across town, venturing from the City Centre, Otterspool Park, Sefton Park Lark Lane, Isla Gladstone Car park to other various places even as far as towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The 24 hour on-street bike hire service is a fantastic scheme to try not only for residents of the city but also visitors from further afield. The bikes are for ages 12 and over, with persons needing to be able to cycle and be tall enough for the lowest seat position. Helmets are not provided but are recommended.
