Live music fundraiser at Claremont Farm for the people of Ukraine this April.

The event will take place on Sunday 17th April from 6.00pm-10.30pm, with all proceeds from the event going directly to the Sanctuary foundation.

A spokesperson for the Sanctuary Foundation said:

“We are delighted to announce our live music fundraiser event on Sunday April 17th 2022 to raise money to help the people of Ukraine!

“As you will all be aware, since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, millions of people have fled from their homes. We are looking to raise £5,000 to help displaced people with the money raised going to the brilliant Sanctuary Foundation.

“Watching the humanitarian disaster unfolding in Ukraine right now, many of us are wondering what we can do to help. The Sanctuary Foundation invites you to join us to make a real difference to the lives of Ukrainian people. The UK government has announced it is developing a new humanitarian sponsorship programme that will allow an unlimited number of Ukrainian families to come to the UK.”

Potential ways you could be involved include:

● Welcoming a Ukrainian family to live in your community

● Finding and possibly furnishing suitable accommodation

● Raising of support funds (in previous sponsorships this has been £1k – 9k per family)

● Befriending and integration support through volunteering your time.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the foundation. We have set up a JustGiving page to collect donations and this will be sent to Sanctuary Foundation after the event. You can also donate directly through their website.

This is a standing event so please make sure you take this into consideration – we have been gifted 50 deckchairs from Storyhouse that are available to add on to your ticket. You are also welcome to bring your own camping chair.

Toilets available at the usual cafe site and parking also just at the normal car park for the cafe.

If you are unable to attend the event but will still like to support our cause you can donate at the Just Giving link below.
