Contemporary Asian-inspired restaurant, Wonton To Go arrives in the city

Cool, contemporary Asian-inspired restaurant, Wonton To Go launches in Liverpool City Centre.

As the heart of a city known for its culinary excellence springs back into life, local entrepreneur and restaurateur Chris Brown has used his own experience and drive to put together his very own ‘dream team’ to launch the restaurant.

Wonton To Go has been developed as a concept over recent months and through hard work, dedication, and much support from friends, family, Liverpool City Council and local communities, it is now ready to go in its own right. Chris has put together a collective whereby every detail has seen Liverpool-based, often youthful, super-skilled personnel involved. From the industrial lighting, to the restaurant’s logo, to the locally influenced Asian-style menu, Chris has been determined to build a restaurant that has a vibe influenced by the city’s richly diverse cultural settings.

Chris has also been enthusiastic about creating a relaxed, independent, cosmopolitan space where people can pop in for something simple to a whole delight of dishes. From the restaurant’s signature Char Siu Wonton Noodle Soup to its Special Fried Rice, with its own unique Special Sauce, the culinary team are getting creative and introducing new ways with traditional favourites, including vegan options, delightful desserts such as Vietnamese Egg Coffee (topped with grated dark chocolate) and fine gourmet coffee on hand at all times. Health is at the heart of everything the team is achieving, too, with taste at the forefront of their mindful approach.

Wonton To Go has grown apace in a short time, with 7,000 followers on Instagram, impressed with the team’s socially aware and conscious attitude, as well as food that has already been in demand for delivery, now becoming available in a defined space that’s all about simply refined dishes in a contemporary setting, couple with a chance to relax, knowing that the contribution of every customer also goes to helping a really rewarding cause.

With 38 covers upstairs and just under 20 downstairs the restaurant opens its doors with plenty of summer still to enjoy, the staff are working within government guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers, who can then sit back and enjoy everything Wonton To Go has to offer. As Chris Brown says, “I am already proud of what we have achieved so far, and this new restaurant is all about being inspired by authentic Asian cuisine, which is also respectful of its reputation in this wonderful city. My team has come together from diverse, experienced backgrounds and with so much support from the city already, we know we are creating something really special, and we are ready to give you a warm welcome, with great food and an atmosphere that will see you return to us again.”

As Liverpool City Centre starts to open up, its latest creative restaurant will be launching in its own cool and individual way, where the aim is to really give something back to the community, and the starting place will always be wonderfully innovative food.
