The River Mersey shapes the waterfront of this beautiful city we call home and is also known as the soul of Liverpool.

Now many of items and objects have been seen or found in the river, let’s face it the thing stretches for 70 miles from Stockport to Liverpool Bay! One sighting of recent that has had the city in awe, is the spotting of what looks like dolphins.

Captured by Sean Ralph, the short clip was taken on his way to University and shows what appears to be two dolphins slowly bobbing through the Mersey.

Sean says: “I was late for uni this morning as I got a wee bit distracted by the dolphins swimming in the Mersey! Its 4 years to the day tomorrow that I moved into my apartment next door to the arena and todays the first day that ave spotted dolphins in the river.”

Whether this deems to be true that the creatures captured are in fact dolphins, a lot are sceptical and think it could possibly be porpoises.

Whatever they maybe, what a lovely peaceful video it is that has been captured in the city of life.
