Liverpool FC Legends are set to take on Manchester United Legends this September in the deciding leg of the Legends of The North clash at Anfield, all in aid of the Red’s official charity, LFC Foundation.
The LFC legends will be looking to secure another victory in the charity match, which takes place on Saturday 24th September 2022 (KO 3pm), in a bid to be crowned Legends of The North.
Robbie Keane will be making his return to Anfield and debut in the LFC Legends squad. He will be joined by Steve McManaman, Jersey Dudek Momo Sissoko and Bjorn Kvarme, with more Legends to be announced soon.
In May, the LFC Legends took victory in the first leg of the Legends of the North fixture at Old Trafford after beating Manchester United Legends 3-1, and they’re looking to get another win to take the Legends of the North title.
Sir Kenny Dalglish with return to manage the Reds Legends with support from Ian Rush, and one hundred per cent of the proceeds raised from the fixture, which is brought to you by LFC Foundation in association with Forever Reds – the official LFC former players association – will support the LFC Foundation.
The funds raised will support a variety of programmes, including #iWill – young people’s social action movement – plus local community and football projects. Their charity partners, Cash for Kids and IntoUniversity, will also receive donations to support their outstanding work across the Liverpool City Region.
Forever Reds which among other things, provides support to the club’s former players in need of care, will also receive a proportion of the proceeds.
Tickets for the Legends of the North charity match are on sale now priced at £27 for adults, £7 for juniors and £17 for over 65s.
