In edition ten of our ‘Faces behind the Business’ series, we caught up with Chris Devaney, Operations Manager at RLB360; Royal Liver Building 360 is a must-see attraction in the city at the symbol of Liverpool.
When did you first get into this industry?
I’ve been in Hospitality & Tourism since I was 18 doing a variety of jobs from bartender and waiter to General Manager and National Project Manager. I’ve always been around hospitality though as my parents had catering businesses I used to help with when I was younger.
When did you start working for RLB360 and what is your job role?
I started in June 2018 as Operations Manager when RLB360 was still in concept stages and took on all aspects of the opening from development, training and recruitment with my main role being day to day operations.
What is RLB360’s ethos?
To deliver amazing visitor experiences in a fun and interactive way that highlight the iconic Royal Liver Building and Liverpool City Region.
What is the best bit of advice you could give to anyone looking at working in your line of work?
Ask questions and learn from everyone around you, there’s so much experience to be gained daily from just interacting with people each day.
What do you love most about Liverpool?
The people, there’s such a deep personal connection with the city that just radiates out within the pride and friendliness of everyone you talk to about Liverpool.
If you could describe RLB360 in three words, what would they be?
Fun, Informative and Personal.
