In the latest edition of our ‘Faces behind the Business’ series, we caught up with Karen Clinton, Manager of The Jubilee; a Liverpool-based pub part of the Circle & Hen Group.
When did you first get into the industry?
I first got into the industry 7 years ago and have loved every minute of it since. The last 20 month have been the most challenging with the pandemic.
Why this sector ?
It’s hard work but rewarding. The hours are also something that suits my life.
What’s the best bit of advice you could give to anyone looking at working in your line of work?
The best advice I give myself daily is – no two days are the same. So be prepared for things to change constantly. One minute you can be dealing with a brewery the next minute a DJ or changing the menu. You have to adapt fast in hospitality.
What do you love most about Liverpool?
I love the culture, people and the events that Liverpool holds. We are a great city.
