In edition four of our ‘Faces behind the Business’ series two, we caught up with Louise Riley the General Manager of Prestige Apart Hotels; luxury apartments in the heart of Liverpool.

When did you first get into the industry?

I started my first Hotel role as a night receptionist in Premier Inn in 2005.

I quickly moved to Groups Co-Ordinator and trained and Duty Manager, this is how I gained my overall knowledge of every department within a hotel.

How long have you worked at Prestige and what is your job role?

I joined Prestige in July 2020 as General Manager of Accommodation & Sales.

What is Prestige ethos?

To create a home away from home.

What’s the best bit of advice you could give to anyone looking at working in your line of work?

Try your hand in all the departments to see which one is for you. Not only will it give you great experience across Food & Beverage, Reception & Housekeeping, it also puts you in good stead for promotion to Duty Manager to start the process of your career in hospitality.
