The restaurant has 100 covers inside as well as an outdoor dining area which can accommodate 25 covers.

Table bookings are now open on the company’s website (fathippo.co.uk). Customers will also be able to get their Fat Hippo fix using the restaurant’s Click and Collect service.

The group work closely with Deliveroo too and will be launching on the platform in Liverpool to allow customers to enjoy Fat Hippo’s signature burgers in the comfort of their own home.

Fat Hippo has eight other sites across the North East, Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds, and Manchester, as well as exciting plans to continue growing, with further sites being established across the country. Their Fat Hippo Fleet travels all over the UK, bringing their renowned burgers to thousands of national events.

The restaurant will serve up Fat Hippo’s full menu of signature beef and boneless buttermilk chicken patties, that come with free fries as standard. As an inclusive family-friendly restaurant, the company try their best to cater for all allergies and diets so everyone can enjoy their Fat Hippo visit. This means they also have a carefully designed range of vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options available as well as a great value kids menu.

Michael Phillips, who founded Fat Hippo in the North East in 2010 said:

“We’re so excited to announce Fat Hippo Liverpool is opening for dine in and takeaway on Friday 28th May.

The excitement about us coming to Bold Street, especially on socials, has been unreal and now we’re counting down the days until we can welcome customers through the doors.”

The family friendly burger joint is famed for its quality ingredients and quirky flavours, with burgers like their PB&J (a beef burger topped with peanut butter and bacon jam) available, alongside the classics. Their signature tangy Fat Hippo sauce is a firm favourite with customers and is found amongst menu items such as their Dirty Fries.

Michael Johnson, the company’s Operations Manager, said:

“We just couldn’t turn down the opportunity to bring the best burgers to Bold Street. It’s not long now until the people of Liverpool can enjoy a taste of ‘the good kind of gluttony.”
