When looking for something to do it can sometimes be hard to decide, whether it’s due to spends or not knowing where to go.

It shouldn’t have to cost you the earth whether that is to enjoy trying something new, wanting to enjoy a few hours socialising or having some much needed ‘Me’ time. Visit St George’s Hall

St George’s Plateau, Liverpool L1 1JJ

A building that is not only beautiful and graceful, there is so many things to learn when visiting St George’s Hall. From walking across the mosaic floor consisting of 30,000 tiles, to viewing the largest tunnel vaulted ceiling in the world, a visit to St George’s Hall is one for all the family to gain knowledge while being mesmerised by its stunning interior.

The Heritage Centre allows you to visit cells used by prisoners, lets you walk around the Criminal Court and Judges Robing Room, while learning the history of the venue and it’s all free!

Liverpool Central Library

Head to the Liverpool Central Library for some peaceful reading, all while taking in some beautiful views of the city from the rooftop. Reading a good book can be good for the soul as well as very therapeutic.

Also, the venue is great to take the family with areas for the kids to enjoy storytelling and themed days. The Library is free to join, and all loans are free also, and with free goes on the Xbox 360 available on site, escape into a book while the little ones are entertained.

With more than 150 computers available to the public and free WiFi, the Liverpool Central Library is perfect no matter your visit.

Otterspool Promenade

Otterspool Road, Liverpool L17 5AP

With stunning views across the River Mersey, a walk along Otterspool Promenade is a breath of fresh for all to take in.

Whether it be for a stroll, cycling with the kids on their bikes or walking your four-legged pet, the promenade is the ideal location for all to get out and about. Also, with a free parkland area with a playground, hours of free fun can be spent with the family.

New Brighton Beach

Wallasey, CH45 2JU

We all love to be beside the seaside! So for some splashing free fun head down to New Brighton Beach with the little ones, your family pet or maybe just yourself for some well-earned selfcare time.

With a recent £60 million redevelopment this beach is worthy of a visit. Along the coast there is Fort Perch Rock, a coast battery defence with an Aviation and Archaeology Museum that is open throughout the year.

Perch Rock Lighthouse is located further along the promenade, with a park also for discovery and lots of fun play! Whether it be a stroll along the beach or letting the little tikes run wild across acres of sand, whatever the weather maybe New Brighton Beach is a must visit.

Visit the Anglican Cathedral

St James Mount, Liverpool L1 7AZ

The Anglican Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Britain and the fifth largest in the world, and its free to visit

Not only can you wander around and take in the stunning interior, the breath-taking neo-gothic architecture of the building makes you feel like you’re a million miles away.

Ideal location if you fancy some peaceful time to yourself or maybe you want to be a tourist for the day and learn more about one of the city’s most popular attractions.

Views at Everton Brow

Everton Park, Liverpool

Probably one of the best vantage points to take in a breath-taking view of not only the city, but of Wirral and Wales, Everton Brow is best known to locals as the ‘Viewy’ and the sights speak for itself.

A simply stunning place to head to watch the sunrise or set, Everton Brow offers the perfect panorama view which includes the two cathedrals, Seaforth docks and of course Bertie and Bella perched on the iconic Liver building.

Merseyside Maritime Museum

A visit to the Merseyside Maritime Museum is not only great to help you and your little ones gain knowledge of the Maritime’s history, it also has some really cool artefacts for everyone to explore!

Walk around Sefton Park

There’s nothing more refreshing than a brisk walk around a park to set you up for the day and Sefton Park is the best known to pay a visit.

The beautiful natural landscape boasts a magnificent 200 acres, giving you plenty of space to stroll, jog, run or cycle around at no cost at all. With the stunning Palm House as a main focal point within the park and a big boating lake, Sefton Park is a wonderful place to visit whatever season it may be.

Visit the Iron Men at Crosby Beach

Crosby, Merseyside

A stroll along the beach is sure to manifest them outdoor feel good vibes, with the foreshore stretching for miles and the crisp air breeze.

While taking in the sea air you can also play spot count with the many Iron Men cascaded across the sandy shores along the way. With 100 cast iron statues dotted around Crosby Beach, its fun to find some of the many Anthony Gormley figures doe items of clothing, how many can you spot?
