From the creators of Maray new casual food concept - Sabich heads to Duke Street Market

A new casual food concept created by the team behind Maray, will be heading to popular food market venue – Duke Street Market this May.

Sabich, will be offering exceptional sandwiches, rotisserie chicken and delicious sides all of which have been inspired by Middle Eastern flavours and dishes.

Named after the concept’s signature sandwich, Sabich is a mouthwatering combination of aubergine, eggs, tahini, and amba, served in a soft, pillowy pitta.

A welcome addition to the market, Duke Street is incredibly excited for Sabich to open and for guests to try its variety of delicious dishes.

The new concept adds to the variety of kitchens that the market is home to which includes Cuban-inspired Cahita, Italian Cucina Di Vincenzo, seafood specialist Kelp, Asian-inspired Ginger and steakhouse kitchen Bone and Block.

Sabich’s succulent and juicy rotisserie chicken is another menu staple; slowly cooked in its signature harissa butter marinade, and served in either a baguette with chicken shmaltz aioli, pickles and slaw, or as a quarter/half/whole chicken with a selection of sides including tahini, zhug, pickles, turmeric eggs, amba and pitta bread.

Sides at Sabich are the perfect accompaniment to its hero rotisserie chicken or Sabich sandwich and include hummus, rotisserie-cooked baba ganoush, cauliflower bhajis and sweet potato wedges.

Lee Bannon-Smith, General Manager of Duke Street Food and Drink Market, said:

“We’re really excited to have a new kitchen on board from the team behind the much-loved Maray restaurants. Sabich is completely different to any of the other food vendors at the market and we pride ourselves on providing a really varied offering and Sabich further adds to that. The food is delicious and we believe our guests will love Sabich as much as myself and the market team do.”

Thomas White, Co-Founder of Sabich, added:

“Having been patrons of Duke Street Market for a long time, we are extremely excited to join their already stellar roster of operators. The Sabich concept is something we have wanted to explore for a while now and the market is the perfect environment to launch the brand. Fans of Maray will undoubtedly love what we are going to do here but it’s a wholly different offering and experience which we cannot wait to share!”

Duke Street Food And Drink Market is open from Monday 17th May and will be open every day for the first 3 weeks. Keep your eyes on our social media channels for further updates.
