After making such an enormous success of its first University of Liverpool campus site, based in the bustling area of Brownlow Hill, the team behind the original UK Jidong Bubble Tea branch are preparing to launch their new flagship store in the busy student and creative district around Myrtle Street, making it the perfectly cool hangout setting as another burst of summer sun awaits the city of Liverpool this August.

The Shanghai-based Jidong Bubble Tea company boasts over 2500 stores globally, having opened its first UK-based shop in 2019, and since then they have built a reputation for innovation and ingenuity with its refreshing menu including its signature Bubble Teas, including new favourites, Milk Foam Lychee, and Sweet Rice Brew Light Lychee Oolong. As well as Bubble Teas, Jidong has a delicious range of Creative Mix Fruit teas, which are hugely popular right now, Herbal Jelly Dessert bowls, and its very own Fruit Tea x Alcohol range.

Happy and satisfied customers from all over the globe have already given this FRHS 5-rated venue a whole host of 5-star feedbacks on Google Reviews, too, marking out Jidong by commenting that the Brownlow Hill shop has ‘absolutely impressed me’ and has ‘the best Bubble Teas I have had!’ Clients have praised the store’s premium service levels, friendly staff, affordable prices, and comprehensive ranges.

The rising trend in the bubble tea market has seen it grow from a global value of $2.2 billion dollars in 2019 to a forecasted $3.39 million by 2027, as reported by Fortune Business Insights. Leading market players like Jidong are building global chains, and bubble tea is becoming increasingly popular amongst consumers who wish to move away from artificial sugars and sweeteners to tasty beverages packed with natural ingredients which support a healthy lifestyle.

As Liverpool has such an all-embracing cultural heritage locally, and has an immediate population interested in new trends in food and drink, as well as being a national and international tourist centre, the team at Jidong decided it was time to make a move into expansion.

Growing Liverpool business Jidong Bubble Tea launches new flagship store

The new, flagship Jidong Bubble Tea shop official launch in the Myrtle Street area will take place on Sunday 8th August 2021, where there will be an opening offer of a free Jidong Herbal Jelly drink with every purchase of drink to the same value or more. But you can still visit their new site now as they are currently open with 20% off all drinks during their test operation period. The brand-new unit has dedicated seating indoors for up to 30 customers and will have an outdoor space with room for up to 20. Their menu will include all their original Jidong favourites, such as Classic Bubble Tea with brown sugar pearls, plus a whole host of fresh twists on Herbal Jelly teas and authentic Asian desserts, as well as the hugely popular Jidong Yoghurt collection.

Jidong Bubble Tea representative Xiaoyu Zhou, known affectionately as Joe to his beloved customers, explains: ‘We are so thrilled and excited to be opening our flagship store, expanding our brand after the runaway success of our first outlet. It has been a challenge during these challenging times, but the reaction to our concept has been overwhelmingly positive. I am also delighted that as a group we have already created 8 full time jobs and 4 full time roles. We are currently recruiting further personnel so I would be delighted if anyone who is interested gets in touch. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new Bubble Tea shop, so they can enjoy our famous flavours, fun atmosphere and the perfect place to meet during this busy summer season, and our opening will see lots of special promotions so that new customers can try out best sellers like our Jidong Herbal Jelly drink.’

The new Jidong Bubble Tea shop will be open daily from 11 am to 10 pm, and Joe and all his dedicated staff are getting ready for a busy launch day, as Liverpool city centre enjoys an influx of delighted tourists and staycation locals alike.

The new branch of Jidong Bubble Tea is based at 149 Chatham Street, Liverpool L7 7AZ.
