Liverpool Ice Festival

Liverpool’s Waterfront will be transformed into a flurry of frozen fun, with the highly anticipated return of the Liverpool Ice Festival and its biggest sheltered ice rink to-date!
Between 19th November 2021 and 3rd January 2022, Liverpool Ice Festival, set within the magical Liverpool Waterfront, will transport the region into a frozen winter wonderland.
Located at Pier Head, the festival will include a spectacular covered ice rink, a fully stocked bar serving delicious hearty food and beverages, Ice Slide which includes three super-speedy 30m runs, tons of rides. Tickets – Adults/Teens from £13, children (aged between 3 and 12 years old) from £11, family ticket from £41 (based on two adults and two children, or one adult and three children). Christmas has arrived at the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, which sees the return of the much-loved Light Trail around its historic colonnades from Friday 12th November.

Taking place across the whole estate, the Light Trail starts at the dock’s entrance gates with Neptune and Triton standing tall and leading the way underneath the curtain of blue lights along Salthouse Quay.
Stroll past Tate Liverpool along the inner quay which has each of its 86 red columns wrapped in over 1 million twinkling lights.

Magical Christmas Convoy

Sunday 19th December will see a convoy of around 100 tractors light up the city forming a magical Christmas convoy.
Making their way around Liverpool’s streets, the convoy’s trail will see one of their destinations being Alder Hey Children’s Charity who they are raising money for.

Christmas at Southport

A number of exciting new festive attractions are set to be heading to Southport in the weeks leading up to Christmas for all the family to enjoy.

Frankie’s 1984 Christmas

The British Music Experience will be welcoming In-Conversation with Nasher, plus acoustic performance this December for the event Frankie’s 1984 Christmas.
By Christmas 1984, Frankie Goes to Hollywood were unstoppable. With two massive No.1s already under their belt, their now iconic Christmas hit The Power of Love went to No.1 on December 8th.
Frankie guitarist Nasher is coming back to the BME to talk about all things Christmas 1984 with local music-writer Paul Fitzgerald.
The lads will be talking about The Power of Love, touring America, Band Aid, Christmas TOTP and their three sell-out shows at the Royal Court in Liverpool.
As an extra treat, Nasher will also be performing the band’s iconic Christmas song.

Now in its tenth year at Chester Zoo, visitors to the event are given the unique opportunity to experience the zoo after hours on a set trail in the dark – taking them through spectacular illuminations and colourful lanterns, encountering enchanting, costumed characters along the way.
Among the many new elements at this year’s festivities will be brand new illuminated characters, featuring orangutans, butterflies, caterpillars and wolves as well as a 90th birthday light show, taking visitors on a journey through time as they explore the zoo’s history.

A huge Alpine Village is coming to PINS Social Club this Christmas! Serving Yuletide cheer from mid-November right through until the end of December, the three- storey Social Club is channelling Alpine Village vibes, with a huge programme of day-to-night themed events.
Rocco’s Deli and Diner are bringing a host of festive eats and treats to the rooftop event inspired by ski-lodge classics to keep the chills at bay, including gourmet Bratwurst dogs, baked gooey Camembert, hearty Tartiflette, warm Apple Strudel and indulgent Chocolate Brownies. Cocktails and winter warmers feature heavily on the specially curated drinks menu, with spiced mulled wine, Snow Cones.

Winter in the Square

Exchange Flags will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for the festive season, when their ‘Winter in the Square’ event heads to Liverpool.
th November through until 23 rd December, visitors can head on down to the massive Winter Tipi and to get right into the Christmas spirit of things! The Winter Tipi will include a Christmas bar and a festive food menu for all to get prepared for the Xmas period.

Wirral Christmas Markets

The magic of Christmas will be arriving at Woodside, when a six-week long Christmas market heads to Wirral this festive season.
Starting from the 13th November Woodside Food & Market will be stepping into Christmas every weekend until 19th December.
From 10am – 5pm every weekend you will be able to shop, eat and enjoy mulled wine at Woodside, there will be 24 Wirral based independents offering some of the finest gifts.
Each Saturday and Sunday 2pm – 4pm, Santa and his Elves will be visiting Woodside to give out selection boxes and have photos taken with children that want to come down and see him.

Winter Arts Market

The Winter Arts Markets will be returning to the Liverpool Cathedral this December.
With over 60 stalls each day from independent artists, designers, crafters and makers, the Winter Arts Markets will return on Friday the 3 and Saturday the 4 December, where you’ll find new stallholders each day between 10am – 5pm.
Customers can browse thousands of products from local, independent traders, including original screen prints, paintings, intricate jewellery, tableware, handmade beauty products, woodwork, colourful decorations, accessories, textiles, photography, knitwear, hand poured candles and much more.
The event will be socially distanced. Visitors can pre-book tickets to avoid disappointment and pick their preferred time to shop. There will also be a limited number of walk-up tickets available for each timeslot during the day. The last visitor entrance at each event is 4:30pm.
Storytelling with Father Christmas

Prescot’s Imaginarium Theatre are delighted to be working in partnership with professional Storyteller Gav Cross to bring his famous cousin; Father Christmas to the Imaginarium Roundhouse.

A giant snow globe and Santa’s sleigh will be arriving on Saturday 4 and Saturday 18 December, providing visitors with a perfect festive photo opportunity.
