Whatever your day out might be, Merseyrail have various stops to each destination, travelling smoothly while taking in the stunning scenic views from your train seat along the way.

Now there are so many pleasurable places to visit just a couple of stops away such as Crosby Beach, Ainsdale Beach, Southport Beach & Pier, Meols Beach, Southport Marine Lake, Sefton Park, Trans Pennine Trail, Chester Zoo, New Brighton Beach, Royal Albert Dock and so many more locations are waiting for you to take that train journey.

Whoever your travelling partner may be, it’s great to know that you can also take along your four-legged friend on your trip. Your pet pooches are more than welcome to join you on your day out, no passes needed they ride free.

If your trip is one packed full of family fun, Merseyrail offer a family ticket which covers up to 5 members and covers unlimited travel after 9.30am weekdays and all day on weekends and bank holidays. The ticket covers children aged 5-15 travelling with 1 or 2 adults from just £11.00, letting you hop on and off trains as much as you want!

Tickets are valid on both Northern and Wirral Merseyrail lines and also Northern Rail on the City Line.

Day Saver tickets also allow you to make as many journeys as you wish throughout the day on the Merseyrail network only. Adult fares range from just £4.10 for 2 zones/1 area and £5.50 for all zones. Young People Day Saver covers from age 5-18 can travel for 50% off the adult price, from £2.05 for 2 zones/ 1 area and £2.75 for all zones.
