The May school holidays are almost here. And Liverpool’s Imagine That! is packed with more activities, experiments, and workshops than ever before as each staff member shows off their favourite activity.
For any families who haven’t yet been, the science and discovery centre offers a fun, stress-free day out for children aged 10 and under – and accompanying adults may find themselves enjoying the activities as much as their little ones.
Even if you’re a regular visitor, there’s still so much for the children and grandchildren to explore, with a range of activities from past and present this half-term.
Manager Abby Wallace said:
“My favourite is the giant flower making workshop, but the list is vast – from Jen’s giant bubbles and Matt’s catapult planes to Catrina’s supercool dry ice show and Nat’s slippery slime workshops.
“We’ve also brought back our legendary snow workshop and we’ll be rounding off the day with our bingo where everyone’s a winner.
“As well as all the fun indoors, we’ve revamped our outdoor area which can be enjoyed during your 45 minutes in the Artbeatz art area. If the Builder’s Bootcamp assault course is not your thing, then head over to the Discovery Lodge where there are fossils to be found and crystals to be mined. Our giant sand area and workshop tables are now covered too so, at the risk of jinxing it, outdoors will be open every day except in extreme weather conditions.”
The three-hour visit to Imagine That! is made up of four 45-minute sessions in the different zones.
In each zone – the Imagination Village, Artbeatz, Bright Sparks and Slime Factory – visitors can enjoy a range of activities, shows and workshops guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained.
Children can take home everything they make including their fridge magnet, crafts, never-melting snow, souvenir photo and a pot of gooey slime.
Located on Wavertree Technology Park, Imagine That! is close to the motorway and there’s plenty of free parking.
May holidays at Imagine That! run from Monday, May 27 to Friday, May 31.
Tickets and must be booked in advance.
