Landmark buildings throughout Liverpool turn blue in support of NHS

Tonight from 8.00pm landmark buildings throughout Liverpool will turn blue to pay tribute to the NHS.

National Museums Liverpool’s MLK building at Royal Albert Dock and World Museum, St George’s Hall, Liverpool Town Hall, Cunard Building, the Royal Court and Sefton Park Palm House, are amongst others showing their appreciation of the dedicated work of the NHS.

The Light It Blue initiative is a UK wide salute to the NHS during this challenging, unprecedented times around the UK and globe. The campaign was inspired by the NHS Clap For Our Carers campaign, wanting to create a simultaneous show of support and invite cities to illuminate landmarks and historic buildings.

The Clap for Our Carers campaign also taking place this evening will see people all across the UK applaud the courageous work of the NHS.

The thank you is dedicated to all the NHS workers who are tirelessly working throughout the pressure of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic sweeping worldwide.
