Liverpool Celebrates Mathew Street Festival has announced it will welcome families to the final day (Monday 26th August) of the bumper event at the Pier Head to aid a complete refurbishment at Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey.
Children’s tickets will be priced at £5 – with 0-5 year olds free – and go on sale from Friday 10th May at 5pm.
Ronald McDonald House, known as MacHouse, provides free accommodation to families with critically ill children in hospital. Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey is more than 30 years old and requires an urgent, major refurbishment to improve family support and ensure the long-term future of the accommodation.
The new partnership with Ronald McDonald House will see Liverpool Celebrates support the charity by fundraising via various channels for the whole weekend.

Liverpool Celebrates is bringing a four day celebration of Liverpool’s musical heritage, culture and people to the Pier Head, with the use of local suppliers and people, where possible, at the forefront of the operation.
Taking place across the August Bank Holiday (Friday 23rd – Monday 26th August), Liverpool Celebrates will commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the last Mathew Street Festival on the Sunday and Monday with dozens of acts to perform across the music extravaganza.
The final day of the festival culminates with a specially curated Cavern Club Takeover: a celebration of artists who have performed at the Cavern over the decades, including Dios Salve A La Reina, the legendary Queen tribute band, as well as tributes to The Beatles, Elton John, The Who and Adele. There will also be activities and entertainment for children and families.
Liverpool Celebrates Festival is set to attract thousands of visitors to the city and will provide a huge boost to the local economy, shining a light on the world-famous musical heritage of Liverpool.
