With great excitement, the Liverpool Hospitality Association announces the People Awards’ return for 2024.
The awards are an opportunity to honour the gifted people at the centre of Liverpool’s thriving hospitality and retail sectors, presented in association with Saffron Vanilla and Liverpool ONE.
This is an opportunity to recognise and give recognition to the unsung heroes in an industry that has seen tremendous difficulties in the past few years. These individuals exhibit commitment, perseverance, and dedication.
The Titanic Hotel and Rum Warehouse will host the event on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 3:00 PM. It will include 17 categories and showcase the top talent in the hospitality sector in the area.
Award categories include ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Unsung Hero’, as well as the Judges and Chairman’s awards that aren’t open for entry but recognise inspirational figures from within the sector. New for 2024 is the ‘Excellence in Retail’ award which will highlight an individual who is a true champion of delivering consistently great customer service.
Steven Hesketh, Vice-Chair of Liverpool Hospitality Association said:
“Amidst the challenges and triumphs of our ever-evolving hospitality and retail landscape, the People Awards give us a chance to highlight the exceptional individuals and teams who fuel our industry’s resilience and innovation. I am proud to witness the unwavering commitment and passion displayed by our members. These awards are not just a recognition but a celebration of the heart and soul of Liverpool’s hospitality industry and we hope as many businesses as possible will join us in applauding the remarkable people that make Liverpool’s hospitality sector truly exceptional.”
Stephen Ramsden, director of platinum sponsor Saffron Vanilla added:
“As a local agency that provides staff for the hospitality sector, we are absolutely thrilled to be sponsoring the People Awards for the second year in a row! We hope to build on last year’s success and honour Liverpool’s hospitality and retail workforce. If this year is anything like last year, it’s going to be one hell of an event.”

Whether it’s a weekend visit, a day out with the family or a casual meal after work, the hospitality sector plays an important role in the overall customer experience a visitor has of a destination. We’re thrilled to sponsor the Liverpool Hospitality People Awards, recognising the outstanding talent across the sector. We also welcome the new retail category as part of the awards this year.”
