Liverpool International Jazz Festival 2020

Thursday 27th February – Sunday 1st March 2020
February sees the eighth edition of the Liverpool
International Jazz Festival return to the city from Thursday 28th
February – Sunday 1st March at The Capstone Theatre.
The festival will feature artists including London based
jazz collective Cykada, Netherlands innovators Tin Men and the Telephone,
boisterous Belgian iconoclasts Blow 3.0, a double bill concert of groove
related music from Martin Archer’s Anthropology Band and Anglo-Swiss project
Moonmot and a final concert from saxophonist Tony Kofi.
Along the way there are support sets from up and coming
bands, with a strong focus on original music, including sets from Yaatri,
Beyond Albedo, Hippo and Blind Monk Theory.
Tickets are priced at £40.00 (plus BF) with the festival

Threshold Festival 2020

Threshold Festival of Music & Arts is back for 2020, marking a
decade of yearly events and their final outing!
Taking place on April 3rd and
4th in venues across the Baltic Triangle district of the city, the swan
song of Threshold will be a forward-thinking celebration that aims to leave an
open-ended question and place the baton in the hands of the community it has
served. The festival launched in 2011 as a platform for grass-roots music and
arts in the city, region and further afield, and has grown up with the emerging
Baltic Triangle. In its 10-year history the festival has seen formative
performances from Liverpool success stories such as Stealing Sheep, All We
Are, Chelsea Grimes and Queen Zee.
This year line-up includes Folk hero Nick Ellis, London based electronic pop duo Empathy
Test and Liverpool noise trio BARBEROS will give some flavour of the range of
acts still to come, while Dumfries based The Lutras will provide the
guitar driven indie rock. TEE, Blue Saint and Emilio PInchi will represent some
incredible young male solo talent in the city.
Threshold takes
place at venues across the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool on 3rd and 4th April
2020.

Liverpool’s iconic Sound City heads to the city across three

world.
Widely regarded as one of Europe’s

a true celebration of the eclectic underground, the next generation of maverick

Africa Oye 2020
Sefton Park, Liverpool
Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st June 2020
The
largest celebration of African and Caribbean music in the country will be
returning for its 28th edition this June, when Africa Oye heads to
Sefton Park for 2020!
Following
an incredible 2019 which saw Africa Oyé break its single-day attendance
record, take home two awards at the inaugural Liverpool City Region
Culture & Creativity Awards, and see itself included on the Liverpool
edition of Monopoly, the festival returns for two FREE days from Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st June.
Sefton
Park will once again be taken over by the music and culture of Africa and the
Diaspora, bringing fantastic live music, DJs and dance, as well as workshops,
food stalls and a range of traders in the Oyé Village.
The Oyé
Active Zone heads into its second decade of providing festivalgoers with free
workshops across the whole weekend, suitable for all ages, while the DJ stages
Trenchtown and Freetown are also confirmed to return.
The
festival will run from 12.30pm – 9.30pm on both days, entrance is FREE.

Cream Classical in The Park

Following its inaugural show last
year which attracted over 35,000 people, Cream Classical in The
Park has announced it’s return this summer, taking over the city’s stunning
Sefton Park on Saturday 18th July.
The award-winning electronic music promoters will be bringing together
their amazing 50-piece Kaleidoscope Orchestra, performers and vocalists
together to perform a brand-new live show featuring a spinetingling set list
which will include some of dance music’s biggest tracks. Spread across three
stages, the line-up will also feature some of the biggest DJ names to have
graced the decks at the iconic venue.

the biggest shows of the year in the city Cream have confirmed the
2020 edition will deliver an improved bar operation ran by Cream which will include a new drinks product range and

July sees the return of Liverpool International Music Festival to
Sefton Park for its eighth year!
This year’s event will be for one day only, when it downsizes for
2020 this summer as a result of budget challenges facing the council.
Liverpool International Music Festival is a multi-genre music
festival set in Liverpool. Its recent line-ups have included Nile Rodgers
& Chic, Sigma, Ella Eyre, Yxng Bane, Maverick Sabre and many more.
In addition to music, LIMF also has food and drinks stalls
