Magical Winter Wonderland heads to Sefton Park Palm House this December

A magical winter wonderland is coming to Sefton Park’s Palm House this December. From Thursday 8th December, the iconic landmark will play host to ‘A Winter’s Trail’ — an immersive walk-through experience based on ‘A Christmas Carol’ that will feature live performances, food, drink and more.

Running until 22nd December, the unique attraction will bring the Charles Dickens fairy tale alive like never before — with a host of characters to meet along the way. Suitable for all ages and ideal for families, visitors will be taken on an awe-inspiring journey through the story — with Scrooge as the tour guide.

The winter wonderland will be open during the evenings, with various 30 minute timeslots available and a booking system to reserve your place on the tour. Set to be a dream-like and enchanting Christmas experience, ‘A Winter’s Trail’ brings you an interactive theatrical showcase in a stunning location — as The Palm House is transformed into a place of magic and wonder.

The beautiful concept is being created by Britain’s multi award-winning event experts Area51, who have already held similar attractions elsewhere in the UK — with amazing feedback. In addition to the walk-through experience itself, there will be quality food and drink on offer — with plenty of seasonal specials.

Creative Director, Matt Page, said:

“Chapter by chapter, scene by scene, pre-booked groups will follow Scrooge through his haunting dream to meet the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet To Be. It’s going to be a magical experience and we’re excited to bringing it to Liverpool for the first time.”

A Victorian fairy-tale set in an iconic Victorian landmark, ‘A Winter’s Trail’ promises to be one of the most captivating and special winter attractions to come to Liverpool. With limited availability from 8th December through until 22md December, it’s advisable to book sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Matt summarised:

“Christmas is a very special time of year and people are looking for magical memories with their loved ones. With ‘A Winter’s Trail’, we’ve created something different, immersive and unforgettable — we can’t wait to share it with the people of Liverpool in one of the city’s most iconic buildings.”

A Winter’s Trail opens to the public from Thursday 8th December and runs during evenings until 22nd December. The attraction features a re-enactment of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ via an immersive walk-through and live performances from characters. Tickets cost £17.50 (plus booking fee) and are available via Skiddle.
