Melodic Distraction celebrate their 5th year with a brand new collection of merchandise.
The line sees the Liverpool based internet radio station release three new tees, each designed by a local collaborator from the station’s past. 5 years of community. Until we can get together once again, Melodic Distraction will also be spending the month highlighting some of the wonderful moments, hosts and community members to celebrate how radio has kept us close together during these times.
Melodic Distraction are also releasing a brand new line of sweatshirts, cord caps, stickers, screenprints and even kitchenware.
T-Shirt Range
5 years of records, 5 years of dancing, 5 years of Melodic Distraction. Melodic Distraction are celebrating 5 years of play by teaming up with some of their favourite designers from past collaborations to produce three new t-shirts, all available in long and short sleeve.
Pre-orders are open from Thursday 11th June and close on Sunday 5th July.

SketchStance – Still Spinnin’
Mersey Grit founder and Bold St Coffee affiliate, SketchStance, can more often than not be found on four wheels.
SketchStance is the designer behind Melodic Distraction’s hands logo. To celebrate the station’s fifth year, he’s built upon this original design and brought things into three dimensions with a birthday staple of cake and candles.
LeisureLeisure.Co – 5 Years of Play
Kelvin SM, aka LeisureLeisure.Co, first came to Melodic Distraction as a DJ and record dealer. Kelvin is also a key illustrator for Melodic Distraction, designing the artwork for their flagship Wake Up With and MDR’s Breakfast Club shows.
For his 5 year piece, Kelvin recreates the radio studio’s lucky waving cat (maneki-neko), found inhabiting the mantle of the radio studio for the past 3 years.
Abby Bird – Together, Wherever
Doing Bits Studio designer Abby Bird has previously worked with Melodic Distraction on the Refreshments x Melodic Distraction tee.
Abby’s design aims to capture the importance Melodic Distraction has (especially in these unprecedented times) in keeping people connected and a part of one picture. The design nods to funk and soul posters of the 70s and captures the sense of community we strive to create among our extended radio friends and family.
All tee designs will also be available as thick cut screen prints and as stickers!
