Much loved bars and restaurants to re-open in Liverpool ONE

As Saturday fast approaches, Liverpool ONE prepares for its favourite bars and restaurants to re-open.

The news comes as the retail and leisure destination reveals average visitor spend has increased by 35% since retailers re-opened their doors, with sales at 60% of last year’s levels and growing. Footfall is at half compared to the same period last year.

A strict cleaning regime has been in place across the estate since stores started to re-open on June 15th and additional measures are now being carried out to ensure all of the bars, restaurants and leisure terrace on Chavasse Park are COVID-secure.

Steve Connolly, Estate Director at Liverpool ONE, said:

“With 94% of our stores now trading, we are delighted to see the final preparations being put into place for our restaurants and bars to start to re-open.

“This is likely to be a phased re-opening and we are all working hard to support each other at this time to ensure we all follow the advice and guidance which is given by Government.”

The first restaurants which are expected to re-open on Saturday at Liverpool ONE, include: Lunya, Browns, Yard & Coop, Turtle Bay, Smoke & Dough, Club House, Yee Rah, Five Guys and Bills.

Other restaurants expected to follow from Monday, July 6th, include Cosy Club, Nandos, Pizza Hut and TGI Friday.

An additional 12 will continue to offer take-away services.

The remaining restaurants in Liverpool ONE expect to re-open at the end of July and into the beginning of August.

Steve added:

“It is a significant step that the Government is now allowing bars and restaurants to re-open for customers enabling them to once again enjoy the in-service experience.

“Many of our restaurants are developing their own new ways of working to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in keeping with stringent COVID-19 guidelines. As landlords we are of course supporting all of them with these measures.”

The majority of restaurants will require advance bookings which can be done directly with the restaurant or via the Liverpool ONE website. The website will be continually updated with information on re-opening dates and other essential information.

Meanwhile, 102 stores have now re-opened at Liverpool ONE. A total of 92 opened in the first three days following the lifting of restrictions on June 15th and 10 more have since re-opened, including John Lewis, Morphe and Victoria’s Secret.

Strict COVID-secure measures remain in place across the estate, including designated queuing zones and friendly signage reminding visitors to be patient, be kind and be responsible, keeping a safe distance and observing social-distancing guidelines as they shop.

Stores continue to operate on reduced core opening hours of 10am – 5pm Monday – Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sundays. Some stores are now trading later into the evening on weekdays.
