National Museums Liverpool gives you the chance to take centre-stage

National Museums Liverpool are on the lookout for performers and musicians to take centre-stage across their museums and galleries as part of Museum Sessions Live – celebrating the power of music and performance and the unrestrained joy of Eurovision.

Inspired by NML’s successful YouTube series “Museum Sessions”, this new initiative is part of the city-wide EuroFest, the official cultural festival that supports the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

With opportunities to perform at Walker Art Gallery, World Museum, Museum of Liverpool, Maritime Museum and Lady Lever Art Gallery, NML are looking for individuals and groups to perform that include – but are not limited to – singers, musicians, dancers or even acrobats.

The only requirement is that your performance uses music (live or pre-recorded) as the main component and that it lasts no longer than 30 minutes. There are over 100 performance slots available across NML venues on Fridays and Saturdays between 14 April and 13 May 2023.

David Watson, Executive Director of Audiences and Media at National Museums Liverpool, said:

“The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, hosted on behalf of Ukraine, will entertain millions around the world as artists come together in this one-of-a-kind musical competition. The contest will also be seen by thousands of visitors descending on our magnificent city in the lead-up to these history-making broadcast moments.”

“Museums Sessions Live, as part of EuroFest, is our opportunity to welcome everyone from near and far – providing unrivalled entertainment, animating our cultural venues and spaces like never before and importantly, for us, our opportunity to give others their time in the dazzling Eurovision spotlight. We can’t wait to see who applies!”

Applications for Museum Sessions Live are open until 12pm on Friday 17 March 2023. To apply, complete the online application process here
