In Liverpool, a brand-new Hilton hotel is scheduled to open above The Cavern Club in 2025.
Motto by Hilton aims to capture the vibrancy of the city by offering contemporary amenities that pay homage to Liverpool’s rich cultural past.
The hotel will have 283 guest rooms, including connecting rooms with flexible layout options to create the ultimate multi-use space perfect for larger groups, subject to final approvals from Liverpool City Council. Locally inspired food and drink, along with lively communal areas, will unite both visitors and residents.
The Motto by Hilton Liverpool Cavern Quarter will be part of the Hilton Honors guest loyalty programme, accessible at more than 7,500 hotels worldwide and across all 22 of Hilton’s elite brands.
In Liverpool, this will be the fourth Hilton property to open. Already, there is the Hampton by Hilton hotel in the city centre near Liverpool John Lennon Airport and the Hilton Liverpool in Liverpool ONE.
Although Hilton has not yet opened a Motto hotel in the UK, there are plans to open several in the near future, including locations in Glasgow and Manchester.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton, said:
“Liverpool offers remarkable cultural attractions, bars and restaurants – all of which thrive thanks to growing numbers of international and domestic visitors to the city. The Motto by Hilton brand is the perfect fit for this lively area of the city, giving travellers a base from which to explore everything the city has to offer. We look forward to working with Greenwood Developments to bring this project to life.”
Craig Greenwood, managing director, Greenwood Developments, said:
“We are delighted to be to be working with Hilton to bring the Motto by Hilton brand to Liverpool, and are grateful to Liverpool City Council for their support as we progress with the development. The brand is a natural fit for the Cavern Quarter, and with its exceptional location in the heart of the action, the hotel will perfectly complement the area’s vibrant tourism scene.”
The hotel is expected to open early next year.
