Nova Scotia welcomes Doggy Brunch this Winter

Nova Scotia welcomes a brand-new brunch with a distinctly tail-wagging twist.

For anyone two legged (or with four) and with a keen sense of olfactory smell, Nova Scotia is opening its doors on the morning of Saturday 17th December for Doggy Brunch. It’s time to bring every man’s – and of course woman’s – best furry friend to Mann Island to see what the beautiful restaurant bar has un-leashed, with food and drink for each adult and their cute canine companion.

Doggy Brunch will unite dog lovers from across the city to Nova Scotia. Each paying adult receives a breakfast brioche and warm drink whilst their pooch is served a doggie breakfast and pupachino – all dogs eat and drink for free.

Iain Hoskins, Ma Pub Group’s director, says:

“We’ve noticed over the last few weeks how much Liverpool really loves its doggies – especially down on the waterfront! All kinds of pooches big and small are getting their walkies and we think it’s because this iconic area is wonderful to explore, from where we are at Nova Scotia and all the way down the river and to the Albert Dock and beyond. We are very much dog friendly already and we have wanted to do something special for dog owners so we are launching our Doggy Brunch on Saturday 19th November, with the second event just before Christmas on Saturday 17th December. I’d encourage festive fancy dress for the doggies on that date!”

Set in the stunning Mann Island building in the shadow of the World Museum and the spectacular Three Graces on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, Nova Scotia serves great breakfasts, lunches, small plates, hearty mains and delicious deserts with a wide range of drinks and signature cocktails.

It’s little known that at the end of the 19th century, the Mann Island area was previously a shanty-town called Nova Scotia, made up of dwellings and businesses serving the huge ships when the city boomed as a trade destination. The dock served Canada and the ‘lumber’ trade, twinning with Nova Scotia in Canada – there is also a Canadian Liverpool, River Mersey and Mann Island.
