Wirral-based social enterprise HYPE Merseyside is offering parents the chance to win a free Birthday Parties in Birkenhead Park in the months of June, July, August and September this year.

Working with McDonalds on Grange Road, Birkenhead, and other local partners, each party will run on a Saturday afternoon for two hours in the social enterprise’s ‘Vibrant Park’ space in Birkenhead Park.

The party will include fun games and competitions as well as full access to the five a side football pitch for matches and two sports coaches and a birthday cake. Happy Meals for up to 20 children would also be included as part of its partnership with its local branch of McDonalds.

To be in with a chance of winning, parents simply need to nominate their child or relative via the HYPE Merseyside website. The winners will be announced on 17 June.

Matthew Houghton from HYPE Merseyside said:

“We are really grateful to all of the local businesses that support HYPE. We have delivered social action with McDonalds a number of times, but this initiative is really different, with them this time providing meals and staff to support our ‘Parties in the Park’.

“We know that children’s birthday parties can be expensive and with the cost of living crisis families will be feeling this more than ever. By utilising our ‘Vibrant Park’ space to run this activity, working with our community sports coaches, who are able to deliver exciting and engaging activities, as well as local businesses who appreciate the importance of social action to support the communities they are part of, we’re ultimately able to help create fun memories.

“As well as encouraging people to nominate children for the parties, we also ask any other local businesses who may be able to support our initiative to get in touch.”

Andrew Liston, Business Manager from Grange Road McDonald’s in Birkenhead, added:

“The team at Grange Road McDonald’s is happy to assist HYPE Merseyside to provide special and memorable moments to children they support and create opportunities for.

“We at McDonald’s are proud to be a community partner in many projects across the Wirral that aim to enrich the lives of children and their families. We hope they all have a fantastic experience.”
