PINS bowls over Duke Street

If you have got time to spare, then your going to want to hear all about the newly opened venue that has bowled over Duke Street!

PINS Social Club is a brand new city centre venue based around having fun, real fun, well and some proper serious fun!

The new venue located on Duke Street is set to be a hub of bowling, classic table games and live entertainment, all built around a first-class hospitality experience, they’re taking socialising back to the good old days, when a night out wasn’t just a few drinks at the bar, but a real event.

Daniel Gillbanks and David Scowcroft, the minds behind PINS Social Club, have impressively renovated a multi-storey car park into a dynamic adventureland, giving a firm nod to the 1960s and paying homage to the golden era of bowling, when its players were celebrated like movie stars. Grown from a mutual love of bowling, their passion for the classic sport developed into a plan to transform Liverpool’s nightlife, injecting it with a fresh and unique social concept.

In 2017, the pair decided to travel to the home of bowling and road-tripped across America in search of the finest venues that the States had to offer. From Los Angeles to New York, they checked out iconic spots such as The Spare Room at the Hotel Roosevelt, Highland Park Bowl, Lucky Strike and Brooklyn Bowl, while also scouting out incredible cocktail bars, clubs and restaurants – all in the name of research!

Born from a desire to bridge the gap between great social experiences and first-class hospitality, PINS Social Club is ready to revolutionise your night out. Built on the notion of competitive socialising, the venue is designed to promote a fun and immersive experience that customers will never forget. With 12 full-sized bowling lanes, American pool, ping pong, beer pong, shuffleboard, live music and a custom-built karaoke room, this is a dynamic recreation centre waiting to be embraced.

With incredible food from renowned Liverpool independents Rocket & RubyandBacaro, who’ll be offering everything from gourmet burgers and hotdogs to hand-stretched, stonebaked pizzas and flatbreads, PINS Social Club is doing things a little differently. The brand new menus from these dynamic concepts will take classic bowling alley fayre and serve it up with a contemporary twist. Forget everything you think you know, because Rocket & Ruby and Bacaro are bringing eats with an edge of quality!

Co Founder Daniel Gillbanks says:

“PINS Social Club is proudly independent and my family have always pushed boundaries in Liverpool’s nightlife. From the 1960s onwards, we introduced some of the city’s most iconic bars, including the Chauffeur’s Club on Hope Street, Le Bateau on Duke Street and The Lago on Colquitt Street, as well as being one of the first companies to introduce aparthotels into Liverpool with Posh Pads.

I’m really excited to be continuing this tradition of building exciting and dynamic venues in the city. This project has been three years in the making and David and I can’t wait until we’re open for business. There’s a real appetite at the moment for experience-driven hospitality concepts. I think a lot of that is down to the saturation of the food and beverage market, social media and customer awareness, which ultimately increases the expectation levels of customers.

Nowadays, people value memories and unique experiences more than tangible goods, and this means businesses are becoming more and more creative with their concepts. We’re thrilled to be bringing something completely different to Liverpool’s hospitality scene. An activity-based venue built around immersive experiences and socialising, but with high quality food and drinks, and we think that’s a really unique offering in the city today.”
