Popular ‘Soul Train’ goes big taken over new Liverpool venue

Popular party venue, Soul Train bar has become so successful it has to relocate to new bigger venue.

The older clubbers in the city have spoken and the demand for a good time is higher than ever in these post covid times of inflation, war and cost of living crisis.

The all new Soul Train launched last weekend in St. Peter’s square Liverpool City Centre and was locked out.

Moloko, just around the corner from the original Seel Street venue, on St Peter’s Square, is the new home of Soul Train.

It promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with a massive new space and stunning fully heated beer garden! Not only that but the guys at Soul Train are teaming up with the original founders of Smokie Mo’s for a revamp of the venue to cater for those who prefer their music with a bit of soul.. From the Temptations and Luther Vandros to Beyonce.

Watch out for a full calendar of entertainment from soul singers to drag brunches, cocktail classes to barbecues- all coming this spring to Soul Train @ Moloko!

The theme of the evenings is to bring club lovers a taste of all of the legendary nightclubs which made the city centre the place to be during the 1980’s and 1990’s, including Club Continental, The State, Kirklands, Cagney’s, The Buzz, Quinns and many more. There has already been a hugely warm reception for the vibe provided by DJ Davy T, and his host of guest DJs, who pack out Soul Train every weekend.

Davy T, who created the Soul Train bar explains:

“The 80’s and 90’s were such busy times for clubbers in the city, not just locally, but for people coming from all over the UK, and around the globe, to have a brilliant night out here. We have had 2 years of success in our previous home and now have had to take over Moloko on St Paul’s square which is more than twice the size. It also has the bonus of a huge outdoor space, ideal for summer Soul Train. Although we say over 25s for our nights we do get some younger customers who just love the music. It is great to look out from the DJ box and see a range of ages from 20s to 70s lost in the music having a great time.”

Soul Train The Old Stables, 2 Old Peter’s Ln, Liverpool L1 4AS

Opening times -Friday & Saturday 3pm until 3am with Soul Train starting at 8pm.
