The Queen Mary 2 set sail from Southampton and arrived in Liverpool last night (Wednesday 3 May) as part of a five-night Coronation Cruise.
Cunard put on the last-minute celebration cruise after they unexpectedly cancelled their transatlantic trip to New York due to unplanned maintenance, leaving passengers from all over the world, including the United States and France, stranded in Southampton.
When they first went on sale at 1pm on Thursday afternoon, tickets for the five-night celebration sold out in less than 24 hours. By the following lunchtime, all interested customers had purchased their tickets.
Over 2,000 passengers will be stopping by the Eurovision 2023 host city overnight and will be docked all day until departing between 10-11pm this evening.
