This year, for the first time, the Dock will be giving visitors the chance to declare their affections for all to see by sending in their messages of love, with the chance of them being cast across the Dock with a bespoke Valentine’s projection.
The Say it with Love projection will launch on Friday 7th February, offering a stunning visual experience which can be viewed from around the Dock’s inner quay.
Those looking to surprise their crush, act as Cupid on behalf of a shy friend, or even pop the question to a loved one with the ultimate proposal, can send in their messages through the Royal Albert Dock website, with the most heart-felt messages making it onto the big screen on Valentine’s Day and throughout the weekend.
After enjoying what promises to be an enchanting display, visitors can take a starry-eyed stroll around the Dock, which will be adorned with limited edition heart-shaped lights from MK Illuminations, and take their pick of restaurants and bars for a pre-dinner tipple or romantic meal.
From candle-lit dinners at Maray and Spanish style sharing plates at Lunyalita, to tantalising tacos at MADRE washed down with the best Margaritas in town, diners can take their pick from some of the city’s finest independents, to complete a Valentine experience like no other.
