Located next to the Greenbank Sports Academy, South Liverpool’s newest hidden gem, The Wheelbarrow is racking up party bookings almost daily at the moment.

From baby showers and christenings, anniversaries and special birthday’s,  the stylish café, bar and event space  is proving the perfect venue for  get-togethers and celebrations of all sizes.

With the festive season fast approaching, the beautifully decorated café bar with it’s versatile lay out and on-site  parking is filling the diary with a variety of private and corporate bookings. It has capacity for up 150 people and a late licence option available, buffets starting from £15 per head and space for DJ and live music.

The spacious, stylish venue with expansive L-shaped rustic bar and a mix of booth, table and couch seating, tastefully decorated with twinkly lit spaces for that extra touch of atmosphere.

Operated by the owners of neighbouring Watering Can, The Wheelbarrow has become a firm favourite with students, local businesses and residents who welcome the beautiful addition to the local leisure scene.  Located between the idyllic picturesque surroundings of Sefton Park and Greenbank Park the venue offers a perfect setting for any event or celebration.

Owner, Keith Perryman said:

“When we opened The Wheelbarrow in June we had no idea the venue would become so popular as an event space. Our diary is filling up fast for private parties and guests are absolutely blown away by what we have created.  We are looking forward to making everyone’s party go with a swing between now and Christmas as well as servicing our local customers as we gear up to the busy festive period.”

Now open five nights a week, Monday to Friday 9am-10pm.   Saturday and Sunday 9am-6pm.

The Festive calendar has something for everyone to enjoy and embrace the Christmas spirit with new events being added weekly.  The venue will be professionally and stylishly festively  decorated from 9th November for the extra sparkle and wow factor for café guests and private events.

  • Wreath making, scouse and fizz, Thursday 1st December, 7pm to 9pm £54.49
  • Festive afternoon tea and fizz , Fridays throughout December – From 1:30pm – £28pp 
  • Allerton Brass Band with Festive Afternoon tea, 12.30pm until 4.30pm – 17th December £35pp – playing all your favourite Christmas classics spanning the ages
