The Perfect little Date Night at EastZEast

As Autumn creeps its way into the calendar marking its transition from the light Summer nights, it’s fair to say whatever the weatherman may bring Liverpool is a city that is picturesque no matter the time of year.

Before the hustle of the Christmas commercial train makes its way into everybody’s social outings, it was time to head out to the heart of this beautiful city away from the busy weekend rush and head down for a well-deserved midweek Date Night, while also being a tourist in my own homeland.

The Place of choice was EastZEast located at Kings Dock, the venue offers Halal Indian and traditional Punjabi cuisine. As Autumn is one of my favourite seasons of the year and the location of the venue of choice, a stroll along the Dock was a must. With that evening chill in the air and breath-taking sights leading up to EastZEast, the stunning views of the iconic Waterfront, the calmness of the Royal Albert Dock and the bright lights of the Wheel of Liverpool, the warm feeling this place gives me, leaves me lost for words.

Standing out from all the rest at the busy Kings Dock, EastZEast is not only a well-established brand, the venue brings an ambiance that is relaxing and ideal for food and drinks with that special someone in your life. From entering the sleek, classy restaurant, visually am in love, the attention to detail is pretty impressive, which ticks boxes when being wined and dined. The wait is short to be shown to your table which also ticks another box and the chilled vibe certainly adds to the night.

With an array of choices, if Indian dining is your bag, you are mostly certainly spoilt for choice! Ranging from banquet options to A’la Carte and even a children’s menu available, the place caters for whatever your visit maybe. The staff are warm and friendly, and nothing is too much of an effort or a hassle to help you with your choices during your visit. I will be honest, am a bit of a novice when it comes to Punjabi cuisine but with the assistance from the welcoming waiters and servers, they explained everything I needed to know and catered to my questions and needs which goes a long way in my book! Our starters of choice ranged from Seekh Kebabs, Chicken Boti to King Prawn Puri. From the spicy tastes of the delicious kebabs to succulent juicy prawns, certainly fine dining at its best.

The drinks menu also offers a good selection of beers, wines and spirits, with Cobra and Pink Gin aiding in washing down the exotic fares on offer. The list of mains to choose from is memorising and at this point I wish I knew some background of this choice of dining, but I promise I will be more knowledgeable on my next visit. The service from the staff really is second to none and they help us choose wisely to our acquired tastes.  From playing it safe with the traditional Murgh Tikka Massala to the spicey Garlic Chilli Chicken Balti, the smells and tastes send me to another continent.

It is safe to say EastZEast have accomplished their job of offering not only the perfect location but also a unique dining experience that has left me wanting more. Date Night has been something of a success, not only is my stomach full, also my heart is full too.
