The UK’s biggest family dance experience heads to Liverpool later this year with organisers giving local dance schools the opportunity to perform on a special stage.

Thousands of people are expected at The Can You Dance? (CYD?) Super Convention which takes place at the ACC Liverpool campus.

With masterclasses from choreographers working on some of TV’s biggest shows including Strictly and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, the event is open to dancers of all abilities from aged five upwards.

The highlight is the opportunity for dance groups to perform on the Main Stage with full production, lighting, staging and effects.

Co-founder of Can You Dance? Tom Shilcock said:

“We are giving dancers the chance to showcase their routines and most importantly have fun with their friends.

“It’s not a competition as we just want people to enjoy the experience which will be professionally filmed to share with friends and family after the event.

“With more than a hundred exhibitors and all the leading dance colleges attending, the Super Convention has something for every dancer, teacher and spectator.”

The Can You Dance? Super Convention takes place at the ACC Liverpool campus on 15th and 16th October and to qualify for a performance slot, groups must have a minimum of 10 dancers aged 5+ and routines cannot exceed 3.5 minutes.

There are only 120 slots available over the two days so places will be allocated on a first come basis. To secure your slot to perform on the main stage visit www.canyoudancelive.com/super-convention-deposit/

Tickets cost £20 per person for one day for dancers or spectators and £30 per person for both days with masterclasses from £8.50. There is no extra fee to perform on the main stage as it is included in the price of an entry ticket.
