The largest celebration of African and Caribbean music in the country will be returning for its 28th edition this June, when Africa Oye heads to Sefton Park for 2020!
Following an incredible 2019 which saw Africa Oyé break its single-day attendance record, take home two awards at the inaugural Liverpool City Region Culture & Creativity Awards, and see itself included on the Liverpool edition of Monopoly, the festival returns for two FREE days from Saturday 20th – Sunday 21st June.
Sefton Park will once again be taken over by the music and culture of Africa and the Diaspora, bringing fantastic live music, DJs and dance, as well as workshops, food stalls and a range of traders in the Oyé Village.
The Oyé Active Zone heads into its second decade of providing festivalgoers with free workshops across the whole weekend, suitable for all ages, while the DJ stages Trenchtown and Freetown are also confirmed to return.
The festival will run from 12.30pm – 9.30pm on both days, entrance is FREE.
