Roger Mcgough the author of over a hundred books of poetry for adults and children brings an exuberant new collection of poems called joinedupwriting to St George's Hall this April.
The poems range from forgotten friendships and the idiosyncrasies of family life to the trauma of war and contemporary global politics, they explore the human experience in all its shades of light and dark but always with McGough’s signature wit, irreverence and vivacity. This is the nation’s favourite poet at his finest and recently, Meghan Markle chose Roger’s poem Vow to read at a wedding.
Roger will be joined by poet, broadcaster and comedian, Luke Carver Goss, who will present a hilarious set of music and breath-taking comedy, songs, stories and a musical created out of thin air! Bard of Barnsley, Ian McMillan, is Poet-in-Residence for Barnsley FC and a regular on BBC Breakfast.
Tickets from £22 which includes Administration Fees and Facility Fee.
