Abditory Bar opens on Queen Avenue

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the quaint Queen Avenue is arguably one of the city’s best kept secrets.

The Harry Potter styled street located just off the popular Castle Street, now has another splendid addition not only to the magical surroundings, but also brings a new concept bar to socialise.

Abditory Bar, perfectly named (definition a concealed location) brings a slice of good old-fashioned hospitality and is set to be to one add to your hidden gems list.

The interior of Abditory bar has a great deal of personality and sense of humour with striking mustard ceilings and blue and white striped walls as well as the most outrageous toilets in Liverpool (they’re worth the visit alone!)

They also have a huge collection of classic Penguin books and a few board games to pass the time whilst you tuck in to one of their delicious deep filled toasties or you can sit back and enjoy the eclectic and somewhat nuanced 80s soundtrack with a great glass of wine.

Abditory is well on its way to becoming the new friendly neighbourhood gathering place, located right in the middle of Liverpool’s business district.

Steven Burgess, director of Abditory said, “We were really pleased with the launch over the weekend but more importantly, to be able to draw people to Queen Avenue, which we believe to be one of the most gorgeous parts of the city.”

Josh Moore, co-director of Abditory said, “We have got lots planned over the next year and both for Abditory and for Queen Avenue so keep an eye out on our Instagram for sneak peaks of what we are up to.”

Abditory bar is open every day from 10.00am for eat in or takeaway toasties and coffee with cocktails, wines and beers served from 12.00pm.
