Today (Thursday 27 June) easyJet announced it will launch a new route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to City of Derry airport, not only a brand-new service from Liverpool but also a brand new destination on easyJet’s network.
Operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays all year long, the new flights are scheduled to take off for the first time on November 4, 2024.
Following new flights introduced to Malta, Enfida in Tunisia, Hurghada in Egypt, and the Greek island of Corfu, the new route to the second-largest city in Northern Ireland will be the fifth new service the airline has added to its Liverpool network in the last 12 months.
Situated on the west bank of the River Foyle, the City of Derry airport boasts Ireland’s only completely intact historic Walled City, the Derry Girls, a thriving food scene, award-winning museums, and plenty of discovery where the Wild Atlantic Way meets the Causeway Coastal Route.
