Electronic Sound Summit to take over Baltic Triangle for 2021 edition

Liverpool-based music conference Electronic Sound Summit returns this September following the success of its 2020 edition.

The two-day event, founded by Liverpool Audio Network (LAN), will help develop the UK electronic music scene and assist creatives with education and inspiration via a combination of panels, talks, workshops, Q&A’s, masterclasses and demonstrations.

Held across key nightlife and cultural venues within Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, including 24 Kitchen Street, District, Brick Street and Baltic Hotel, the 2021 edition will run from 11:00-18:00 on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th September.

The event features over 50 artists, promoters, and industry figures, alongside leading brands and nightlife associations and explores topics ranging from inclusivity, advice for emerging artists, through to music management and setting up your own label. Jaguar, Bushwacka!, Lauren Lo Sung, Steven Braines and Sophia Kearney (HE.SHE.THEY), Melé, and Futurebound are just several contributors involved.

A spotlight panel comes via the NTIA (Night Time Industries Association), which presents Value, Recognition & Voice In Dance Music, with city favourite and Circus founder Yousef joined by Maria May (Creative Arts Agency), Tristan Hunt (AFEM), and Billy Mauseth (BMC) debating the challenges and future solutions for the UK electronic music scene following an unprecedented 18 months.

There will also be a host of ‘In Conversation’ talks and masterclasses, with the likes of Kate Simko, Kydus, rising local star BluePrint, and Toolroom regular Maxinne involved, while tech giants Pioneer DJ and Ableton will feature with workshops and demonstrations across both days.

“ESS:2021 is arguably our most critical event to date. In light of the current international struggles the Music Industry is facing, we need to reconnect to the industry and discuss these issues as a community to ensure a healthy regeneration, while also celebrating what dance music means to all of us, past, present and future.” – Phil Noone, Electronic Sound Summit
