On Monday night, Everton in the Community marked its 36th anniversary as the Blues prepared to face Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. The charity has already raised over £45,000 through its fundraising efforts.

The charity supported by the Club requested Everton supporters to participate in a mass bucket collection during the event by contributing a pound each. The aim was to raise £40,000, which is the capacity of Goodison. As a part of the fundraiser, 12 junior Blues had the opportunity of a lifetime to act as EitC mascots and Toffee Lady. Their contribution was crucial in achieving the total amount raised.

Members of the hospitality sector were provided with the opportunity to participate in a silent auction across the lounges. The auction allowed them to bid on items such as goalkeeper gloves signed by Jordan Pickford and the chance to observe the team’s first training session at Goodison Park. These items were generously donated by Official Club Partner FIGS. In addition, FIGS also demonstrated their support for the life-changing work of Everton in the Community by contributing a £20,000 donation. They also donated three pairs of hospitality tickets for the birthday fixture, which raised thousands for the charity through a prize draw.

Everton Football Club has kindly gifted the match-worn shirts from the Crystal Palace fixture to the Club’s charitable arm in support of its fundraising efforts, and you can bid on them here until Sunday 10 March.

Since 1988, Everton in the Community has been serving the Liverpool City Region by providing crucial support to those who are most vulnerable. Their innovative and impactful approach has helped to build stronger communities and create brighter futures for the people they serve.

Support for Everton in the Community has been demonstrated by Evertonians worldwide, through an influx of online and text donations in celebration of the charity’s anniversary. There are several ways you can contribute to EitC’s life-altering work in Liverpool 4 and beyond, including traditional fundraising, participation in Everton Lotteries, association of your business with the charity, or a one-time donation.
