Everton Football Club has linked-up with internationally renowned language specialists Rosetta Stone in a unique association that sees the US-headquartered organisation become the Club’s ‘Official Language Education Supplier’.

The new agreement will give Evertonians from around the world the opportunity to start 2022 by learning a new language online and will be supported with activations from Everton Women’s first team and Everton in the Community highlighting the benefits of language learning to wellbeing and mental health.

Everton supporters can access discounts to one or more of the 24 languages that form part of Rosetta Stone’s award-winning education products.

With a three or 12-month subscription, Blues can get learning languages like Spanish, Portuguese, German or French or something a little more challenging like Arabic, Russian, Japanese or Cantonese for less than £10 per month. For those wanting to fully immerse themselves in language education, Rosetta Stone is also offering 50% off the cost of a ‘Lifetime Subscription Pack’ which gives access to all 24 languages in the Rosetta Stone portfolio for life.

Rosetta Stone’s unique ‘Dynamic Immersion’ method will help all types of learners read, write, and speak a new language intuitively, without translations.

Graham Stuart, Club Ambassador said: “I have always fancied learning a new language and our agreement with Rosetta Stone is giving me the chance to do that. Football is a global game and communication with players, coaches and fans is really important.

“I’ve chosen to start learning Spanish as I fancy visiting one of our South American Supporters Clubs in the future but with Rosetta Stone there are so many languages to choose from.

“It is a great way to start the new year and there are some clear health and wellbeing benefits to learning a new language. I’ve enjoyed the intuitive and immersive training methods teaching you how to read, write and speak.”

“I can learn at my own pace and whatever age you are it is never too early or too late to learn. Whether you are purchasing as a gift for someone or you want to learn the language of your favourite Everton player, the lingo spoken at your favourite holiday destination or if picking up a second or third language is part of your bucket list, Rosetta Stone will make it easy.”

Findings from a 2021 language learning survey conducted by Rosetta Stone highlights how 28% of UK adults now speak a second language fluently, up from 23% in 2020.

Miriam Melchers from Rosetta Stone said: “As well as enhancing academic or employment prospects language learning also sees participants gain greater cognitive development and expands on positive attitudes and understanding of languages and cultures.

“We are excited by this link-up with Everton, who are a renowned footballing name with a global fanbase, as we offer fans, players, ambassadors, and Everton in the Community participants new opportunities to enjoy the benefits of learning a new language.”

Founded in 1992 Rosetta Stone services clients from around the world from its headquarters in Arlington Virginia as well as offices across the United States of America, the UK, the European Union and a remote workforce in other regions around the globe. The company’s innovative digital solutions drive positive learning outcomes for the inspired learner at home or in schools and workplaces.
