First look at new flagship Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel

The Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village hotel, which is due to open on July 4 in Liverpool, has unveiled its first glimpse in new pictures.

The 16-story, 221-room hotel, which is located in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, will have a ground-floor coffee shop provided by the independent business Bean Coffee, which is established in Liverpool. Throughout the hotel, including in the rooms, Bean will provide its locally roasted coffee as part of an exclusive partnership.

Likewise, the new hotel has partnered with Love Lane Brewery, a craft beer producer with headquarters in the Baltic Triangle, to provide guests with its Liverpool-brewed brew. The hotel makes a special effort to engage local suppliers wherever possible to give visitors a true sense of Liverpool.

Guests at the hotel can also enjoy other local delights from the likes of Baltic Bakehouse, Laura’s Little Bakery, Murphy’s Gin and Vodka, Rascal Gin, Zest Limoncello and Liverpool Lost Dock Rum.

The new hotel features the latest facilities for business and leisure travellers, from meeting and conferencing areas to a children’s recreational space in the lobby, destination restaurant and gymnasium, as well as offering 360-degree views of the city and beyond. Unique to Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village is its 32 long-stay, apartment-style accommodation – the first property in the UK to feature this new, modern concept – and designed in partnership with key health and education stakeholders in the Knowledge Quarter, specifically for patients, students and relatives attending the nearby hospitals and universities.

It is also the first hotel in the UK to feature the brand’s new global design concept by the internationally-renowned Sundukovy Sisters, which encapsulates elegance, modernity, and simplicity in a welcoming social hub open to visitors and local residents alike.

Howard Lewis, general manager, said:

“I am thrilled to finally be able to reveal what the hotel will look like inside, and I invite our neighbours to come and see it for themselves when we finally open our doors to the public on July 4.

“Most important to me is that guests come here and know they are in Liverpool. That is why we are so excited to announce new partnerships with local businesses such as Bean Coffee and Love Lane Brewery, who will bring that quality, authentic Scouse experience to our guests, whether they are staying with us for a business trip, or simply popping into the lobby for a cup of coffee and a catch-up with a friend. It is essential that we support our local suppliers, and we are actively looking to work with other local companies over the coming months.”

Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village has been chosen as the flagship hotel for the new £1bn Paddington Village development. Constructed by Morgan Sindall Construction, the Liverpool City Council-owned hotel is franchised by Accor and will be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts on the council’s behalf. The hotel has been designed by Ryder Architecture, with Faithful+Gould acting as project managers.

Knowledge Quarter Liverpool is a world-leading innovation district at the east gateway to the city, home to some of the world’s most influential players in science, health, technology, education, music, and the creative performing arts. The hotel has been designed specifically with this in mind.
