Hickory’s Smokehouse West Kirby re-opens after restaurant re-fresh

This week marks the reopening of the popular Hickory’s Smokehouse restaurant and neighbourhood pub in West Kirby, which opened its doors in 2012 after an exciting re-fresh.

To celebrate the restaurant’s ten years in the area, the team has been hard at work behind the scenes updating its interior.

The bar and restaurant have undergone a total renovation. Expect a cosy and inviting atmosphere with lots of new seating, including booths and larger tables that are perfect for gatherings with friends and family. Just in time for the NFL playoffs, the redesigned bar area offers more seating and better views of the numerous screens, making it the ideal place to watch all of the Everton and Liverpool games.

Along with new flooring and seating, the well-liked veranda has also been updated with plenty of traditional Southern details. Even when the weather is more Thingwall than Texas, this location is still ideal for enjoying the open roof on a warm summer day!

General Manager, Tom Schofield said:

“We cannot wait to welcome guests back after our re-fresh. We have loved re-imagining our spaces and getting the place ready for more BBQ, sport and good times!” Tom was one of the Hickory’s team who visited Austin, Texas on their last road trip and is passionate about giving the locals an authentic experience.

“We can’t wait to see what guests think of what we’ve done to the place hopefully we will see lots of familiar faces from the past 12 years and new over the next few weeks. It’s great to be back to doing what we love – looking after our guests and firing up the smokers. The excitement is building and we’re looking busy so if you’re looking to joining us get yourself booked in.”

The Hickory’s crew is well-known for their creative drink and cocktail menu and their distinctive blend of traditional smokehouse food. They also look to welcome everyone and are known for their welcoming, community-focused, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Deep South flavours abound on the menu, which features traditional smokehouse dishes like BBQ pulled pork, Texas-style brisket, and Memphis ribs that are all slow-smoked in “Ole Hickory” and “Southern Pride” smokers. A delicious selection of vegetarian options are available, in addition to burgers, subs, steaks, and fajitas.
