“To have  achieved this award shortly before our 18th birthday is massive, and we wish to thank all volunteers,  past and present, staff and management… And of course the listening public. KCC Live has been a  station at Knowsley Community College since December 2003. Created by Sir George  Sweeney, knighted for his work within education and then Principal of Knowsley Community College,  and Hywel Evans , known for working with Rock FM and multi award winning radio broadcaster, whom after 17 years of service to the station stepped down I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of everyone at KCC Live to thank Hywel for everything has done for everyone past and present of the station and the community of Knowsley during his time time at KCC Live.

I would also like to thank now Station Director Miguel Doforo for me to get the call last year from Miguel to become Station Manager was a dream and already Miguel has already made such a positive impact at the station, in Knowsley and now this winning this award just one year into this new era of the station with our shared version on bringing more creative opportunities for young people in in all boroughs of the city region We are excited to see where things can be taken.”
