Exciting and interactive musical experience ‘Musical Beasts’ for all ages is coming to Liverpool this March.
As part of Musical Beasts at The Tung Auditorium in the city centre, Carrot Productions will present Prokofiev’s classic symphonic fairy tale, Peter and the Wolf, performed in costume and from memory.
The concert will also include an animated film of David Litchfield’s award-winning book, The Bear and the Piano, with narration recorded by Joanna Lumley and original music by Daniel Whibley played live.
With musicians drawn from their award-winning The Snowman and Wallace & Gromit shows, Carrot Productions is delighted to present this brand new programme of family-friendly music for wind quintet and piano.
To make the adventure extra special, audience members are invited to come along early to enjoy free beastly craft activities from 12.30pm, then stay afterwards to meet the musicians and see their costumes and instruments up-close.
Rachel Whibley, Managing Director of Carrot Productions, said:Â
“Since we premiered the show in March 2022, Musical Beasts has been staged 28 times already, and we can’t wait to visit Liverpool this year.
Dressing up is positively encouraged, and there is even a prize for the best costume –Â bears, cats, wolves, ducks, birds, or whatever beast you fancy!”
Musical Beasts comes to The Tung Auditorium on Sunday 12th March at 1:30pm, with an hour of free arts and craft activities beforehand.
Tickets start at £10 and are available now via the venue’s website.
