August 21, 2022

Popular Berry Street bar, Red Door has restored the venue to its former glory and also added an extensive all-weather garden terrace for guest to enjoy ahead of Bank Holiday Weekend.

The owners acquired the adjacent land, the former home of 53 degrees and the successful operators have transformed  the wasteland into a fantastic Red Door oasis that will seat up to 250 guests and accommodate another 50 standing.

The chilled ‘boho chic’ feel will retain all of Red Door’s charm, whilst embracing the natural surroundings with decadent planting, wooden baskets and festoon lighting.

A touch of luxury will include fire pits and hammocks for guests to chill out and enjoy an alfresco experience in one of the city’s most vibrant bars.

All tables will have parasols and patio heaters and as winter approaches look out for the giant Red Door Tepee which will cover the entire terrace to service the autumn and winter months.

Red Door have partnered with Root Catering and have developed an exciting new Garden BBQ menu and an improved pizza offering.

The Garden BBQ menu includes an impressive Bang Bang Cauliflower, Louisiana Hot Loaded Corn, Cheeseburger and a Vegan Hotdog, whilst the pizza menu has a varied selection to choose from including the classic Margherita, American and a Formaggio Blu.

To compliment the Garden menu’s the team have introduced a  sharing ‘Jugs’ selection, full of all the favourites including Aperol Spritz and St. Germain Spritz, as well as cocktails that pack a punch including the Garden of Eden, and Jungle Juice .

With all systems go to reveal the stunning addition to the venue next Friday 26th August regulars can expect an extra dimension to the current Red Door offering in time for bank holiday weekend.

Red Door legendary live acts and DJ’s are planned for Friday and Saturday’s and larger events planned for future bank holidays and special occasions. The terrace will also evolve into a perfect event space with the World Cup plans already taking shape.

Whilst Red Door is famous for producing some of the best ‘Bottomless’ packages in the city, guests will now be able to enjoy an alfresco experience in the heart of the city centre.

Red Door have also commissioned their resident graffiti artist to create a huge eye-catching masterpiece on the massive exposed brick wall at the side of the building in keeping with the interior artwork.

Matthew Laughton, Operations Director, said:

“Our team have worked tirelessly during the previous weeks to repair the flood damage and the venue is looking fresh and ready to welcome guests.

The Red Door terrace will be an extension of what our guests know and love and will enhance our current leisure offering. We believe that the addition of our stunning outside terrace, along with our all-weather and very popular Eden terrace will provide our guests with the best leisure experience that the city has to offer.  We are sure our garden terrace will prove to be incredibly popular and a great space to while away the hours”
