Sound City brings stellar lineup to Liverpool this October

Sound City, the essential home of new music discovery will once again be igniting various venues across Liverpool this October.

Returning to the streets that originally played host to Sound City over 13 years ago, the festival’s gold-standard reputation as the first place to catch some of the most exciting and thrilling new sounds continues – with 2021’s festival return primed to be a glorious melting pot of cross-genre delights!

After huge demand from fans, it finds the show nestled squarely in the heart of live music once again – celebrating the venues and people that make the live music community what it is. The perfect location to jump between different artists while catching a moment for a drink and a bite to eat in one of the greatest cities in the world – it ensures Sound City 2021 is not one to be missed out on. 

From the defining stages at the Arts Club (Theatre and Loft), to famed city institution Grand Central Hall, The Jacaranda, The Shipping Forecast, Jimmys, EBGBS, The Kazimier Stockroom and Leaf – Sound City will be taking over venues of all shapes, sizes and legacies as they play host to more history in 2021 and beyond. All going down in a true cultural capital for music and nightlife – it sets Sound City apart as a vital weekend full of celebration and discovery with the best in new music. 

News of Sound City 2021’s incredible venues comes with even more names joining across the weekend – including the likes of Jessica Winter, The Dunts, Bad Nerves, Eyesore & The Jinx, Lily Denning, Jekyll, Pacific, Jaws The Shark, Mollie Coddled and many more! These names add even more bubbling new talent to a weekend stacked with much-loved game-changers and thriving new talent alike – all staking their claim to the future of music in 2021 and beyond! Sound City brings stellar lineup to Liverpool this October

Speaking about Sound City 2021, Managing Director Becky Ayres said:

Continuing their long-standing relationship, Sound City is once again the UK’s lead festival partner for Keychange, a global movement focused on the restructuring of the music industry to achieve gender equality. Sound City are committed to championing gender equality across all of their global musical projects from Sound City Korea, Ipswich and latest streaming platform Guesthouse. Leading a vast array of festivals and events across the UK and beyond, the focus remains on achieving equal representation for women and gender minorities – a focus shown across the Sound City 2021 lineup with more names to be revealed in the months ahead and through a range of initiatives, panels and more as a part of the Sound City+ Conference.
