Delifonseca is planning on giving mums a day off this year with its Mother’s Day Mess Free Feast.
Available for collection and delivery from Saturday 13th March, the traditional Sunday menu features a starter platter followed by a main course and best of all, all of the hard work is already done – the dishes just need heating up.
The starter platter contains Olives, Piquillo Pepper, Caper & Lemon Salad, Iberico Chorizo & Salchichon and Piri Piri Prawn Skewers with vegetarian alternatives such as Truffled Celeriac and Mushroom Tart available.
For the main event, at-home diners can enjoy Lamb Noisette with a Serrano, Apricot, Rosemary & Pine Nut Stuffing or a vegetarian option of Heritage Beetroot & Goats Cheese Stack with Walnuts, Caramelised Onions, Thyme & Balsamic.
Each will be served with Minted New Potatoes, Hassel Back Potatoes, Garlic & Saffron Dauphinoise, Kale, Spinach, Cabbage & Feta, Chantenay Carrots, Piccolo Parsnips with Heather Honey, Mediterranean Vegetable Gratin, Redcurrant Gravy and Mint Sauce.
In addition to the culinary feast, a range of gifts are also available at the in-house deli – from sweet treats like chocolate and macarons to a selection of wine and spirits. Customers can peruse and purchase individual items or create a custom hamper that’s guaranteed to make Mum smile.
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “Mother’s Day is a very important occasion in our calendar and this year, we’re preparing to spend it a little differently than usual. For that reason, we’ve devised an at-home culinary feast that can be enjoyed mess-free, plus an online edit of products that can be purchased individually or mixed and matched, and enjoyed together over the dining table or from afar via FaceTime.”
