Dr Orange’s Debut Single pushed forward due to coronavirus

Recorded with producer Jon Withnall (Coldplay, The Coral, Rihanna) Dr Orange’s debut single ‘Comes in Threes‘ blends heavy riffs with spacey synth overtones.

Originally planned for a July release accompanied by a string of UK shows the uncertain nature of 2020 has led to a cancellation of planned shows and a fast-tracked release.

To be released on all major online platforms on April 4th followed shortly by a music video this release will utilise on the thirst for new content and will allow Dr Orange’s music to be familiar to a wider audience before his debut live shows.

Dr Orange is the solo venture of Liverpool songwriter Chas Moody (formerly of Ladies) having already collaborated with many artists throughout 2019, including co-writing the soon to be released ‘Darling’ by Aimee Steven (Jacaranda Records).

Dr Orange is Chas’s first solo project and his first public musical output in 18 months. In this time Chas has developed and matured as a songwriter and has recorded 2 further singles to be released in 2020. Dr Orange is comprised of Chas, Ryan Lavery (Bobby West) and Sam Burkett (The JJohns).

Of ‘Comes in Threes’ Dr Orange said:

‘Comes in Threes is one of the rare times you write a 3 minute song in 3 minutes. Usually when I’ve tried to take my music in a certain direction my subconscious has answered by writing every style of song other than the one I want to.

This tune, however, dropped out of nowhere and was on the money. Roughly speaking the songs about mental health and some of the patterns and rules I’ve come to realise I follow’.
