“Southport Market is going from strength to strength and to have half a million food and drink sales this year is a fantastic testament to the hard work of our skilled traders and Market officers.

“Not only have we served up nearly half a million dishes and drinks but we have welcomed countless weddings, christenings, work parties and much more to our amazing Extravaganza space.

“Southport Market is fast becoming one of the top ‘go to’ destinations in the North West and has already inspired other authorities in the region to take on similar projects.

“While a undeniable success in its own right, Southport Market has also helped to boost the market quarter area of the town centre and we have seen dozens of new businesses and enterprising traders gravitate towards this hub of excitement.”

Dan Johnson of 600 Degrees Pizza added:

“Our unit in Southport Market has allowed us to build on our growing brand and we have seen plenty of regular customers come through our doors to get their pizza fix which is really satisfying as a small business and we appreciate all of the loyalty.”

Southport Market is open 10am to 10pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 am to 11pm Fridays and Saturdays and from 10 am to 6pm on Sundays.
